Facing Alzheimer's - An African American Perspective

Watch a 45 minute video that delves into cultural issues of caring for a family member with Alzheimer’s from an African American point of view. Talk with guest speakers from a variety of organizations who will answer your personal questions. Hosted by the Colorado Chapter of the Alz-heimer’s Association and African Americans In Gerontology. Snacks and beverages will be served.

 This year we will be emphasizing the importance of collecting oral history from our elders.

Jeffrey Nickelson Day is celebrated on February 22 of each year. On this day, AAIG encourages intergeneration activity through the arts in the African American community.

Intergenerational Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of October every year. AAIG supports this day by encouraging grandparents to read to their grandchildren.
