Membership Categories:
- Life: Members who wish to make a
one-time financial commitment of $2,500.00. Payment of the
$2,500.00 commitment can be paid in installments. Full
payment must be made in 3 years.
- Institutional: Open to institutions/
agencies committed to AAIG’s goals and objectives.
- Supporting: Open to members who wish
to make a financial commitment of $250.00.
(supporting members WILL receive all of the
benefits of membership during the calendar year.)
- Professional: Masters or Doctoral
degree in Gerontology.
- Associate: Masters or Doctorate
degree in Gerontology or another discipline that focuses on the aged
population.
- Adjunct: Bachelors degree in
Gerontology or other discipline that focuses on the aged
population.
- Graduate Student: Currently enrolled
at the graduate. Must include a copy of a CURRENT Student ID
indicating enrollment
- Undergraduate Student: Currently
enrolled at the undergraduate level in the area of
Gerontology. Must include a copy of CURRENT Student ID
indicating enrollment
- Senior Citizens (age 65 and over)
Note: Disciplines the focus in
the aged population include, but are not limited to: Sociology,
Psychology, and Law |

Benefits of Membership:
- AAIG will provide current gerontological information,
practicum/ internship placement, and field placement for
students and professionals in the field of gerontology.
- AAIG will conduct symposiums and
workshops to the community.
- AAIG will send out semi-annual
newsletters.
- AAIG will provide networking
opportunities through a social network page via the internet
- AAIG will provide links for current issues in
gerontology. AAIG will also feature student papers and
articles on its website.
