INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE --
AAIG is now offering internships to students in the Colorado
Springs area. If you are interested in pursuing an internship
with our organization, please contact us
as soon as you are able. We look forward to working with you! The following requirements
include but are not limited to:
- Manage mass media contacts to include internet, radio,
television, and newspaper.
- Establish and maintain community and national public
relations
- Become familiar with entities and community agencies
that work with older adults
- Learn networking skills to broaden your interpersonal
skills with community members
- Increase knowledge in the field of gerontology through
journal articles, attending conferences, as a speaker in
your community, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft office programs
- Excellent communication skills
- Increase skills as a professional grant writer or
through research writing
- Work closely with direct supervisor
- Become a mentor in your program
